Archbishop’s Message

To the Parish of St. George’s, Fort Langley, congratulations to you on the celebration of 125 years of ministry! It is a great accomplishment. On an anniversary such as this, it is an excellent opportunity to look back over the years with gratitude to all the people, lay and ordained, who have created the community of St. George’s and lived into the gospel of Christ in a variety of ways. An anniversary is also a great occasion to consider the future and imagine where the Holy Spirit is leading for the years to come. When the church was built, our predecessors had no idea where God would lead the parish for the next 125 years and the same is true in 2026! I look forward to being with you on Sunday to celebrate all of this and the Season of Creation, as we offer our thanks and praise to the One who has given us and all things the gift of life. May we live into God’s calling and hope for us.
