While the Rev. Laurel is off on Medical Leave we are pleased to welcome the Rev. Paul Richards each Sunday. Paul will also be available to provide some pastoral care during Laurel’s absence.

The Rev. Paul Richards was ordained to the deaconate in 2015 and to the priesthood in June of 2023. Fr. Richards carried out his diaconal ministry at the Church of the Holy Trinity and is currently assigned as assistant to the rector. Growing up in Vancouver, he has had an extensive career in law enforcement and public safety for over 30 years across Canada and abroad.

In addition to his participation in the liturgy, his varied ministries include pastoral care for the sick and palliative care in many of the regional assisted care facilities and hospitals, assisting with settlement of sponsored refugee families and street outreach ministry in Surrey.

He is involved with the Order of St. Lazarus Canada at the rank of Chaplain, as well as having carried out Chaplain duties for St. John Ambulance BC/Yukon. He lives in Surrey with his wife Lenore.
