A Message from the Vicar
With the sun setting earlier each day, and mornings getting just a little bit colder, it really feels to me like a new season. In the coming weeks there are two things I would encourage you to think and pray about. The first has to do with children and families. One of our core priorities is deepening relationships -including relationships the families in our church raising children. In the coming weeks you may notice some ways that we are trying make more space for children all across the life of the community. As you notice these, I invite you to think about what you hope that children will experience in church -Belonging? Joy? Wonder? God’s Love? -and then I would ask you to think and pray about how you might help them (and adults in our community too) to experience these good things. The other thing that I invite you to prayerfully consider this Season of Creation, (didn’t the Outreach Committee do a fantastic job with the Genesis story?) is the two questions that ended the sermon time: What is one thing that you can do, to care for God’s creation? And, What is one thing that you can stop doing, to care for God’s Creation?
Blessings,
Rev. Laurel
