Easter 5 – 18 May 2025

Greetings St. George’s community,

It feels like May has been a very full month with the ACW general meeting, clergy conference for Eileen and myself (the speaker was excellent), the Fort Langley Community Association open house and the spring fair and we are only half-way through. Tomorrow is the Eco-Pilgrimage at the Cline’s Sparrowcreek Farm with Eucharist and meal, Monday the May breakfast and long weekend barbeque and after that the Blanket Exercise, diocesan synod, and the Walk in the Spirit of Reconciliation. I am grateful for everyone who has worked so hard on all of this events. I encourage you to take the opportunity to show up and learn from and about our Indigenous neighbours and I hope that in June we all have a chance to rest and recover a bit. I will end with a quote that I truly believe from Leesa Renée, inspired by Tricia Hersey of the Nap Ministry.

Rest isn’t a reward for the work;
it’s part of the work.
Blessings,
Rev. Laurel
